Ayman Yossri Daydban is one of the most promising artists living in Saudi Arabia. In recent years his work has been exhibited in several international art fairs and exhibitions – notably the 2011 Venice Biennial — The Future of a Promise.
AlMohtaraf designed the book to accompany the exhibition held at Athr Gallery during the month of February. The book is a collection of essays from Robert Kluijver, Salwa Mikdadi and multiple perspectives offered from participants in the Jeddah art scene, including artists, collectors and art critics, to discuss the issues that drive its transformation.
According to Robert Kluijver "...Saudi contemporary art has reached a new stage in its development, and has sufficient vitality to continue surprising the rest of the world."
